WE CAN ASSIST YOU if you are A SCHOOL, COMMUNITY ORGANISATION OR COUNCIL REQUIRING A PERFORMING ARTS SPACE

Designing for the performing arts requires an understanding of the technical requirements of the craft, and also a firm command of the many logistical issues that must be solved for both back and front of house. Understanding the bump-in and bump-out process is essential, and must be resolved from a practical point of view.

The ability to work constructively with a range of experts and different client types is also essential. Issues such as acoustics, seating design strategies, audience type, the planned performance type, whether the venue needs an orchestra pit or not - these and other matters shape the requirements of a design solution for any given situation.

Baumgart Clark Architects has worked on several preforming arts projects, ranging in size and venue type.

In their previous working life, John and Marcus were involved in design for performance in a range of settings. With this and more recent experience under the Baumgart Clark Architects banner, they have come to understand that clarity of communication and consultation are essential to shaping projects with a performance component.
