Victorian Auditor-General's Office
A new workplace for a forward-looking organisation
In 2016, the Victorian Auditor-General's Office engaged Baumgart Clark Architects to design and deliver a new workplace for its 200 plus staff, to be located at the top end of Collins Street.
The earthy interior we designed avoids many of the standard tropes of contemporary office design. It is not too corporate, not too commercial, but professional and dignified in keeping with the important function of VAGO for our democratic process. As an the Auditor-General is an Officer of the Parliament of Victoria, this was entirely appropriate.
The VAGO Project was completed with a talented subconsultant team that included Nexus Designs, and was constructed on time with skill by Harris HMC.
The interior is soon to be profiled in the February issue of Artichoke Magazine.
