YOUTH FOYER CONCEPT_SCHOOL OF MINES CAMPUS, BALLARAT, VIC
- BUILDING ADAPTATION PROJECT
Baumgart Clark Architects developed a concept for the conversion of the MB Johns Building, a surplus building at the Federation University School of Mines Campus, Ballarat.
Developing the concept involved working creatively with the existing structure, and the very 'closed' nature of the existing building, which is a prime example of 1960's-70's institutional design, not greatly loved. The concept, which is not being advanced due to the changing use of the existing building, would have brought this much-needed facility to the Ballarat social landscape.
Clients: Federation University/Brotherhood of St Laurence
Project size: $8 million
